                & Museum Cafe

The small "Old Florida" community
of Homosassa is home to an
unusual historic museum,
gallery and cafe. Tables and
chairs ramble amid presses,
relics and collectibles from
Florida's printing past.

You need not be a printer to soak
up the
magic of this Florida Secret.
With some luck,
Jim Anderson, a
most "unusual entrepreneur "
(left) will be there. The self-made
printer, curator, jazz musician,
home-spun philosopher and
father began his career at a
Tampa printing company
at age 14. $5.00 or a good
story about your days in the
trade will earn you a tour
through the back reaches
of the museum (below).

Each year Jim hosts the
and Barbeque
for two days on
the second weekend in November.

It features Florida-based
 bands who play from
noon until dark.

Cafe is open Tuesday
through Saturday
10 until 3.

Printing Museum tours
by appointment only.
